Why share stories?
- The majority of those alive during the eras written about in the Bible were illiterate. Parents and elders taught biblical truth by sharing stories passed down to them from preceding generations.
- Characters and events in the Bible seem only two-dimensional when one reads about them. This course helps to make the meaning of Gospel passages “hear-able”.Â
- Storytelling opens one’s imagination to create memories of the events shared in the Bible, as opposed to rote memorization.
Word by Heart participants literally take ownership of the meaning behind the words shared through story. Find your personal connection to the Word of God by participating in our Word by Heart course.

Preparing for DTS
Since YWAM Baguio is located in the tropics, it’s important to regularly clean and polish eating utensils, dishware, and cookware. This is for the health and safety of all who visit and volunteer alongside us – no matter how long they stay.
We want to ensure everything is disinfected and ready for use prior to the start of our next Discipleship Training School. Wow! Is it July already?!?!!
